On February 13th, the Covered Playground at Good Hope Secondary School was abuzz with excitement as the Good Hope School Past Students Association (PSA) organized a special event aimed at connecting alumni with current S.4 students. The event featured insightful career sharing sessions and valuable advice from esteemed alumni.
Sixteen outstanding alumni, representing various industries and career paths, generously volunteered their time to cover the entire class of S.4 students. The format of the event encouraged intimate small talk circles, fostering engaging discussions and sharing of personal experiences.
The event kicked off with an energetic start as alumni and students gathered for roll call and settled down for the afternoon's program. Student ambassadors and PSA representatives extended a warm welcome, setting the stage for an afternoon of inspiration and learning.
The highlight of the event was the sharing session by alumni Hidy Yan (class of 2010), who eloquently narrated her engineering journey, providing valuable insights into her career choices, transitions, industry challenges, and motivations for staying committed to her field.
Following Hidy Yan's inspiring talk, alumni engaged in three rounds of sharing sessions, where they discussed their career journeys, shared advice on exploring interests, and provided guidance on navigating career paths. The interactive format allowed students to interact closely with alumni, gaining firsthand knowledge and inspiration for their own future aspirations.
The Good Hope School Past Students Association expressed gratitude to all alumni participants for their valuable contributions and commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders:
