We are saddened to share that the recent 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Haiti on August 14 has destroyed the convent and toppled school operated by the MIC Sisters in Les Cayes.

With God's grace, all sisters are safe and there were no students at the school since it was a Saturday. The MIC sisters have since been attending to the wounded patients. In support of the sisters and their families who are seriously affected by the earthquake, we are appealing to you to make a donation for the MIC sisters.

Around May 2021, our executive committee learned about the plight of the MIC Sisters serving God in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in Africa. The country experienced a surge in COVID-19 cases. The GHSPSA executive committee ardently wished to help the sisters in Malawi. Our preliminary plan of appealing to past and current ExCo members had pleasing result. The 2021 Summer Virtual Internship for S.5 Students will take place on 26-30 July, 2021 . This week-long workplace experience will follow a hybrid mode for students to support businesses remotely or in-person, subject to COVID situation.

On Dec 22-23, twenty seven S.4 and S.5 girls, nominated by Good Hope Secondary School Careers Team, had a chance to experience workplace virtually.

We thank the seven companies and organisations which participated in this trial run to offer internship opportunities virtually, with industries such as legal, consultancy, education, film, and commercial services, and the internship contents ranging from research, translation, graphic design to teaching materials preparation.

On 12 December 2020, we collaborated with Good Hope Secondary School Careers Team to successfully transformed our usual in-person university admission mock interview training online to zoom.

This year, 53 Secondary 6 girls attended this workshop to prepare themselves for their potential university admissions interviews with universities worldwide. This was made possible by our 18 alumnae trainers and interviewers who represent expertise from industries worldwide.
