Annual General Meeting 2002

During Oct 2001, a group of past students has gathered together to contribute their time and effort to re-start the long lost Good Hope School Past Student Association (GHS PSA). Several meetings have been conducted and future operation objectives have also been identified.

On the other hand, the Homecoming Dinner on Nov 2001 has served as a prelude to the come back of GHS PSA. Around 200 past students have demonstrated their willingness to join PSA by submitting their membership registration at the spot. As a result, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been called on Jan 12, 2002 at the Lecture Room of GHS in order to complete the official requirements to bring back the PSA of GHS.

There are several objectives for conducting AGM 2002. Firstly, we need to complete the adoption of the Executive Committee Report and the Accounts for the year before 2001. Secondly, we need to get consent from PSA members in order to make several Constitution amendments to be legitimate. Lastly, a new Executive Committee has to be appointed for organizing PSA activities in the future. 

In order to make AGM 2002 unique from the "boring and unattractive" AGM in the past, "special twist" has been added in hope to gain more members' attendance. 
Since balance diet and food nutrition has always been a popular topic among women, we have invited our past student, Ms. Grace Tso, a registered Dietitian, to conduct an interesting and informative talk to our members. Light food and beverages have also been served throughout the event in order to provide a cozy and comfortable gathering environment for our members.

It turns out that 14 members have personally attended the AGM, while 31 members have sent in their written proxy at the same time. Hence, a new Executive Committee has been successfully elected and other AGM 2002 objectives have also been duly completed.

AGM 2002 has turned out to be a success and all attendees have spent a very meaningful afternoon together in the Lecture Room of our dear school. We are looking forward to meeting all of you in our upcoming events in the future.
